This morning we hauled the boat out at Norship Marine on Smith Creek, about 2 miles from downtown Cairns . We left the marina at about 7am and at 7:30am we were pulling into the slipway where the massive 160ton travel lift gently lifted us from the water. The skipper spent about an hour with the high pressure washer and then we dropped the centerboard before blocking her up. We lifted the centerboard with a small crane and suspended it between two jack stands with a pipe through the pivot hole so it could be painted. Tomorrow we will get started on a long list of repairs.
