July 6

We went back to Bagaman today. The anchorage at Bobo Eina was too rolly and with the wind up to 20-25k, funneling right between the little islands to our SE, we were rocking wildly.

When we got back to Bagaman the catamaran “Ball Bearing” was there also (we met them a few days ago at Blue Lagoon). We anchored in about 65ft of water a bit further out then before to avoid having the chain hung up on coral heads. Violent bullet winds come down from the hills of the island in these conditions. Some gusts up to 30k, but very brief, lasting only seconds. They come every minute or so, sometimes not for 2 or 3 minutes. Most are not that strong.
